New Jersey’s Connected Economy

In June 2018, NJPRO Foundation released a study of New Jersey’s interconnected economy.  The study aims to display the effects one business environment has on various others.  By studying the six key clusters that New Jersey’s economy relies on – including chemical manufacturing, food processing and manufacturing, health systems and services, information communications and technology, life sciences, and tourism – the Foundation hopes to display the importance of maintaining an agglomeration the industries create and highlight the importance of keeping these industries healthy.  From studying the impact individual jobs have on the economy to taking an in depth look at how the industries impact each other on a grand scale, this comprehensive report details the desperate need to nurture every industry that the supports the state economy.
